Holidays

Well, I made it through. Watching Julie and Julia helped- the idea that she blogged everyday really inspired me to start doing my own blogging again. It just seems so narcissistic though. I mean, does anyone besides spammers read this? I doubt it.Even if anyone did, I won't know, because I had to hide my comments. I had so many stupid spammers leaving a buy this here links sort of comments. Never the less, I'm going to *attempt* to get back into taking pictures soon. I need to do this. It's just hard. . It's hard to do something creative and from your heart when your heart is broken. It just doesn't seem logical to go out and take beautiful pictures when you don't feel that way inside. . . But I'm going to try, I promise. Until then, Happy New Year Spammers. :)

My First Winter

So it's winter. There is snow. Lots of snow. More on the way. I'm adjusting to the snow, but not to the temperatures. It's SO COLD. I can't even take pictures because my hands freeze on before I can focus the pictures. Our pipes froze a few nights ago- this is all so new to me! More snow today is on the way. Here is a picture of the river behind my house.

Art? What's that.

So, it's been like 2 months since I even posted in this blog. I haven't really been doing much art. It's taken a back seat to life lately. That's sad too, because it shouldn't take a back seat. It's such a part of who I am. I should do more. I need to do more. That's going to be a goal for 2009. Art. More of it. To start the New Year out right, here is a new photo I took of a recent ice storm we had.
